Tell the customer how many days they have from delivery to start a return, and from when the clock runs.
State what condition an item must come back in — unworn, tags attached, original packaging — and anything that cannot be returned at all, such as altered or made-to-order pieces.
Point the customer at the return request form, and say what they need to hand: order number, which item, and why.
Say who pays return postage, and whether that differs when the item arrived faulty or incorrect.
Say how the refund is issued — original payment method, store credit, exchange — and how long it takes once the item is received and checked.
Describe the warranty position and what happens when an item arrives damaged, faulty, or is not what was ordered.
